Rosso Chiaro with Pelle Nera VM 8500

The 7th of only 10 first series GTB/Cs ever produced, of which only 3 were right-hand drive and not all of those 10 cars survive today.

These competition berlinettas had many differences from a regular 275 GTB. The bodies were made from a thin aluminium, the engines fitted with six Weber carburettors compared to the standard three and higher-lift camshafts were used. A 140-litre fuel tank was mounted in the front of the boot, with the spare wheel fixed vertically behind it. A Monza style aluminium fuel filler cap was fitted to the right rear sail panel and evocative GTO style vents to the rear wings.

This particular example was delivered new to motorsport mogul ‘Paddy’ McNally in October 1965 and later owned by several distinguished racing personalities such as Ford’s European racing team boss Alan Mann and charismatic Touring Car champion Frank Gardner.

Unbroken provenance from new and one of the most original of all the 10 cars built.

Ferrari Classiche Certified which confirms it still retains its original chassis, body, engine and gearbox.
