An exceptionally rare example of Ferrari’s F12berlinetta, commissioned as part of the marque’s celebrated 70th Anniversary programme. To commemorate its 70th Anniversary in 2017, Ferrari’s Tailor Made department, together with the designers of Centro Stile, created 70 exclusive liveries inspired by some of the most significant road and competition cars from the marque’s history. Each of these 70 liveries could be commissioned only once on each of five models from Ferrari’s contemporary range, resulting in just 70 individually specified F12berlinettas worldwide.

Our car is therefore one of only 70 F12berlinetta 70th Anniversary examples produced, with each of the 70 cars featuring its own individual historically inspired specification. This particular example pays tribute to the 1953 Ferrari 340 MM Vignale Spider Series II, one of the marque’s most significant competition cars. In 1953 Mille Miglia, this model achieved an overall victory, setting a new race average-speed record of more than 142 km/h. The 340 MM formed part of Ferrari’s successful 1953 competition campaign, the season in which Maranello secured the inaugural World Sportscar Championship.

The F12berlinetta itself represents one of the great front-engined V12 Ferraris of the modern era. Its naturally aspirated 6.3-litre V12 produces 740 hp at 8,250 rpm. Capable of 0–62 mph in just 3.1 seconds and reaching a top speed in excess of 211 mph, it combines true supercar performance with the traditional front-engined V12 grand touring configuration for which Ferrari has long been celebrated.

Already one of the most celebrated naturally aspirated V12 Ferraris of its generation, the rarity and historical significance of this 70th Anniversary example elevate it considerably further.
