The Porsche 911 Dakar is a rally-spec 911, it is the first time in the German manufacturer’s history that they have produced a rally-spec 911. It is a limited-edition model with only 2,500 examples being made available to the world.

Porsche has combined the off-road characteristics of an SUV with the agility of a sports car in the 911 Dakar, in addition to the rarity of its rally-spec it is also the only 911 to have the versatility of a sports chassis allowing its body to raise 40mm higher than the standard model. It also features a hydraulic lift system on the rear axle enabling the body to be raised by a further 30mm and with the addition of its all-terrain tyres with hight sidewalls adding a further 10mm this combined result draws equal with some SUVs.

Its 3.0 litre twin turbo flat-six petrol engine is based on the Carrera 4 GTS, it boasts 473bhp coupled to a quick-shifting eight-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic gearbox, it can fire from 0-62mph in a surprisingly punctual 3.4 seconds.

It also features not only the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard, but rear-axle steering, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), and PTV Plus in conjunction with an electronically controlled rear differential lock with fully variable torque distribution.

This particular car is a UK supplied example with only 1,024m from new. With a high specification as standard this car is finished in the exterior paint colour of white with a Race-Tex interior package including extensive interior items in leather and Shadegreen stitching throughout plus a heated GT sports steering wheel with the steering wheel panel in matt carbon.
