The 330 GTS was first introduced to the public at the Paris Salon in October 1966. It was the successor of the already popular 275 GTS but featured a more powerful and enlarged engine.
With its clean and elegant design by Pininfarina, the model proved to be an immediate success. It provided Ferrari’s best customers with the finest open-top motoring experience that money could buy and solidified Ferrari’s reputation as the ultimate builder of high-performance, luxury open sports cars.
Only 99 examples were ever produced and today the model is regarded as one of the best driving Ferraris of the period.
Chassis 9787 was completed in April 1967 and it was sold new through Luigi Chinetti Motors in North America. It benefits from 37 years in single ownership and is fresh from a 3-year restoration by marque experts in Italy.
The car boasts a full matching numbers status including its chassis, body, engine and gearbox.
