The LM 25 was created to honour one of motorsport’s greatest achievements: the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans victory, where the Ueno Clinic McLaren F1 GTR, run by Lanzante, claimed overall victory. To mark the 25th anniversary of that triumph, Lanzante introduced the LM25 programme. Just seven LM 25 models were built. The McLaren P1 HDK LM 25 was the seventh and final example, joining the 600LT Spider, 620R, 765LT Spider, P1 GTR, Senna and Senna GTR in this highly exclusive series, making this McLaren P1 a complete one of one.

This P1 HDK LM 25 began life as a standard McLaren P1 before undergoing Lanzante’s extensive High Downforce Kit (HDK) conversion and is one of just nine HDK conversions ever to be produced. With the exception of the original bonnet, the bodywork is completely redesigned to improve aerodynamic performance. The car sits wider than a standard P1 and features the fixed rear wing and carbon-fibre pylons from the P1 GTR, replacing the road car’s retractable wing. Louvered front wings and high-mounted GTR mirrors further emphasise its track-focused intent.

Chassis #000050 originally featured McLaren’s standard 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8. As part of its LM 25 commissioning, it was specified with the optional bespoke 4.0-litre engine upgrade, developed exclusively to Lanzante’s specification in partnership with Cosworth Engineering. Delivering 1,000 bhp and 1,050 Nm of torque, it elevates the car to an entirely different level of performance and exclusivity.

The specification has been fitted with a host of extras above and beyond the HDK, which include: F1 GTR seats, blue and red ‘F1 GTR’ race harnesses, gold anodised interior parts including pedals and switch gear, black alcantara steering wheel with white stitch and personal airbag logo, carbon fibre door sills with LM 25 Edition logo, carbon fibre floor mats, chassis plaque, bespoke carbon fibre wheels with light grey tint, heritage front badge, light grey tinted carbon fibre lower exterior panels, scrutinerring sticker on bulkhead, gold brake callipers with ‘McLaren’ lettering in red, electroform rear badge, engine cover detail as F1 GTR, mono coloured Union Jack on bonnet, pained keys finished in Ueno grey with electroform LM 25 Logo.
