The McLaren F1 is widely regarded as the most technically advanced and significant supercar ever produced. Engineered by a team led by Gordon Murray, it integrated Formula 1-derived innovations with pioneering road car technologies. Featuring a naturally aspirated 6.1L V12 engine developed by BMW Motorsport, a central driving position, extensive use of carbon fibre monocoque construction, and a focus on lightweight materials including titanium and gold foil heat shielding. The F1 set new benchmarks in performance, aerodynamics, and engineering purity. Upon its release, it was the fastest production car in the world, and it remains a definitive reference point in the evolution of high-performance automotive design.
This example is the last F1 road car ever produced and with just 1,810 km from new, it is one of the lowest mileage examples in existence. It is the only F1 finished in Yquem from new, a nod to the Château d’Yquem brand of Sauternes wine, crafted in the vineyards of southern Bordeaux. Similar to 075, its golden-orange hue shifts with the surrounding light. It was fitted with a black leather interior, ‘Daytona‘ style seats with orange inserts on the drivers seat and in addition it was specified with many special features such as a wooden gear knob and wooden inserts for the handbrake lever.
It is offered complete with its original handbooks including the ever-important service/warranty supplement, dedicated fitted luggage, Facom tool chest, tool roll, additional steering wheel and gear knob, original Autoglym cleaning kit plus many other factory delivered F1 accessories including the Tag Heuer commemorative watch.
Without question one of the most important F1s produced.
