This example was ordered new with the optional extras of rear seats and a full leather interior. It was first registered on 18th October 1989, under the company name of R J Hoare Leasing Ltd, which is believed to have been owned by Colonel RJ “Ronnie” Hoare, former owner of Maranello Concessionaires. Less than a year later, in August 1990, the car found a more permanent residence with a Mr Geoff Fallows, a successful commercial real estate entrepreneur and business owner in Liverpool. The 300 SL remained with Mr Fallows for 15 years, being meticulously maintained during this time, with over 11 services and 13 MOTs on file. In 2005 the car found another long-term custodian, who continued to maintain the car without regard to cost over his 10-year ownership.
